The Truth

Break [Symmetry]

If he doesn’t win the best contribution to drum & bass award for 2008, he will easily win the hardest worked award.

And this is where it all kicked off on his Symmetry imprint back in 2006. Now finally available on digital, ‘The Truth’ is a devastating hard edged hitting anthem combining in his influences of heavy beats and jungle with which one can hear the likes of Fierce and Calyx screaming through.

Break [a] has unleashed a provocative quantity of monstrous releases this year and has devastated dancefloors with the likes of ‘Splash Step’ on Quarantine, through to his remix of ‘Talk to Frank’ on Metalheadz.

His debut album released a few weeks back came out to rave reviews, and was quite frankly evil. The dark textures, heavy beats and characteristic break sound has set him apart, and filled a hole in the hard edged scene where it appears Calyx [a] and Teebee have retired for an extended interlude.

‘The Truth’ highlights everything for which Break has become best known for - relentless, punishing beats.

The track in itself is a modern mutation of jungle, with eastern influence and chronic, apocalyptic effects, this tune was the one that set the standard for Symmetry, and still does.
