Another Rising Trax number, and a Beatport.com No.1!

God knows what the name of ‘The Reward Is Cheese’ is all about?

Could it be the horrible surprise that the female electro house fans are in for when they finally get between the legs of their favourite DJs?

We’re not 100% sure, but Jesus Christ is this a nutty track.

We mean – it’s a standard Deadmau5 affair until the build-up, which is a wobbly jelly-kneed monster.

The drop will make you smash your neck until it hurts – big, punchy beats conceal some subtle, whiney subliminal elements and do little to get in the way of a delayed, gurgling synth stab which comes through in a weird time signature to make everything even more syncopated.

The bassline is a big motherfucker too!

‘Desynchronised’ is the other track on offer — minus Jelo’s production — and it has a similarly mental build up to ‘The Reward Is Cheese’.

It puts many other dance music producers to shame in the face of its brilliant execution.

The build actually becomes part of the tune because it goes on so long.

If ever aliens came to earth and asked what dance music was, then this would be a good example, because it’s as far away from orchestral instrumentation as is possible.
