In terms of respect, DJ Koze aka Stefan Kozalla is right up there in the upper echelons of producer circles. He’s a prefect of the remix world; and his imaginative purifying of other artist’s work has made him one of the most in-demand remixers in electronic music.

Get Physical Music think his remixes are so unique and inspiring, the German label has devoted an entire upcoming album to his past reworks.

‘Reincarnation: The Remix Chapter 2001 - 2009’, due for release on 30th March 2009, compiles some of Koze’s most famous remixes with more obscure re-touches and a few new ones too.

His flavourful remix of Matias Aguayo’s ‘Minimal’ is on there alongside his witty jazz version of Noze’s ‘Danse Avec Moi’ and his highly acclaimed remix of Sascha Funke’s ‘Mango Cookie’ (named one of the top singles of 2008 by Beatportal).

Heiko Voss, Lawrence and Matthew Dear all get the magic Koze touch too, as does Ben Watt’s beautiful ‘Guinea Pig’ from October last year.

But ‘Reincarnations’ isn’t about the big names, rather, it’s about hearing the remarkable genius of one man, and recognizing his talent for unlocking the beauty of other people’s stories.
