This week’s trance recommendation was a toss up between DJ Preach’s ‘The Bailout’ and Markus Schulz’ ‘The New World’. However, it was ‘The Bailout’s’ similarity to Energy 52’s ‘Café del Mar’ that swung the vote in Schulz’ favour.

The theme music for Prague’s huge ‘Transmission’ event earlier this month, ‘The New World’ is what you’d expect – a massive, attention-grabbing stadium trance record.

Although Schulz remains true to his trademark groove and melody, refreshingly this latest release is slightly more techy and upfront than we’re used to hearing from him.

Featuring on Schulz’ recently released ‘Progression Progressed’ remix album, the track was also a highlight of Armin van Buuren’s ‘A State of Trance 2008’ compilation.
