Beatsource hosted its first remix contest with the New Mastersounds a few months back, inviting producers to remix the original ‘Hole In The Bag’ and at long last, the winner is announced!

The winner of the New Mastersounds Remix Competition is Drawbar, weighing in with a hammond-fuelled dancefloor funk workout of the the original ‘Hole In The Bag’.

Consisting of Simon Ham (bass, vocals & production) and Jo Brooks (hammond organ & various keyboards), alongside a select collective of musicians, vocalists and a scratch DJ, the band are heavily influenced by library and soundtrack composers of the ‘60s & ‘70s, and the classic soul/jazz combos of that era.

Drawbar have seriously upped the energy of the original, combining vintage sounds & instrumentation with samples and top notch production into a genre defying melange of musical styles.
