Beatport’s engineering department currently resembles something of an after party, as bloodshot eyes and the stench of sweat haunts the room.

Fingers are frantically tapping on keyboards and screens are burdened with row after row of 1s and 0s, as developers and designers, database administrators and IT geeks scramble to push the New Beatport.

Beatportal joyfully skipped down into the chaos to bug the world’s most stressed lead engineer, and his half grunt, half cuss message was this: Beatport 4.0 will launch in a few hours.
