Ford Models is normally associated with beautiful and inaccessible types pouting in beautiful and inaccessible clothes, and their YouTube channel of backstage interviews generally follows suit, so this one is especially bizarre, as it’s never really explained how or why The Motherf*cking Gaslamp Killer has been chosen as one of their interview subjects.

He of course talks about his beloved Low End Theory parties in LA, with shouts for his crew including Flying Lotus, Samiyam, Ras G, Nosaj Thing and Daedelus. There’s a bit of awkward stuff as he coins a new genre name ("dirtwave"?) and is asked to talk about his outfit ("I’m wearing free sh*t"), but the best news comes at the end: he’s been producing a new album for Gonjasufi, and has a new album of his own material coming out as well.
