After the huge success of Speed Up and 3 Minutes To Explain you might well expect Dutch production legend Funkerman to dish up another vocal stormer. Not so. Under his F-Man guise he proves he’s just as adept going down a more underground route as he is with uplifting. His latest track Batsen throws an almighty curveball at all production predictions.
Deliciously dark and twisted, the minimal grooves on top of dance floor-igniting yet haunting synths and melodies make this a sure fire way to whip the crowd into a frenzy. The breakdown, with its sublime rising chords and a swing reminiscent of top-notch jackin’ house from yesteryear, is enough to keep your feet stomping well into the early hours.
“I made this track some while ago for the dance floor and mainly for my own DJ sets,” F-Man explained. “The intention was to make something that rocks but still has a friendly tone, instead of scaring all the girls away!”
Released on Flamingo Recordings on December 16th, Batsen is guaranteed to make you open your ears to the sound of the F-Man.
