The End’s Layo announces Shake It! warehouse raves

When London’s famous The End nightclub revealed back in September that it would be closing its doors forever in January 2009, part-owner Layo Paskin said at the time, “We’ve got to the point where some of the key people are ready to move on...On the one level I want to do other things with my life, and it’s a good moment to start embarking on that.”

It turns out those other things that Paskin wanted to do are not too far from running an electronic music nightclub.

On Saturday March 7th 2009, Layo Paskin has organised a Central London warehouse rave with two of The End’s regular DJ acts - Laurent Garnier will play all night in Room 1, whilst Layo himself will play back to back with his lifelong DJ partner Bushwacka! in Room 2.

The special party, under the banner ‘Shake It!’, is the first of four parties Layo said, and to reiterate The End connection, Liam the former general manager of the club is running the show.

The End might be closing, but the people behind it still seem committed to dance music.
