The bubblegum sequencer
28 January, 2008 | 5.47PM- Section: Videos Topics: Technology
Electronic music sequencers are getting weirder and more fun.
These boffins have come up with a sequencer that is controlled by bubblegum balls, that a user can place in holes on a tangible surface to output drum beats.
A computer registers the position and colour of the balls to output sequenced drum loops.
From the video, it seems like a very intuitive way to teach drum programming to aspiring producers (and even young children).
So long as the little rascals don’t start eating the balls.
