is the collaborative venture between two of America’s finest young producers.
Both Peter Martin and Derek Howell have enjoyed relative success in their solo careers, between them having releases on Baroque, Fade Records, Lost Language, Bedrock and Armada, and whilst the last time these two got together was for a release back in 2005, ‘The Ballz’ shows that they haven’t missed a beat.
The duo’s original version is a versatile track that can be used at the opening or close of a set, the tight drums and percussion that carry it along are underpinned by a big melody lead that adorns the saccharine induced breakdown.
A great set builder, and a truly euphoric piece of music.
Meanwhile, long standing producer Jesse Skeens provides support with a great Medway remix that whilst deep, sounds nasty and is aimed squarely at the big sound systems.
Hungarian producer and Deep Dish favourite Tommyboy on the other hand, strips things down to the bare minimum, and pays a cheeky nod to the classic ‘French Kiss’.
The final mix on the package comes from newcomers Glenn Morrison and Human Adams with a progressive trance interpretation that rounds off the single.
