With the music industry these days its one big open mine field, it seams everyone wants to be a DJ and now with the likes of Ableton so readily accessible everyone wants to get producing their own sound.

This has lead to the market being flooded with mediocre production and sometimes sub-standard DJing to match!

As time goes by the producers and DJs at the top of their game shine through the rest and find there footing firmly on the scenes ladder…

Tempered DJ’s consist of Pete Stanley and Mike Knapper, Mancunians born and bread with a serious passion for all things dance! They have been producing tracks for the past ten years under several guises and finally formed together as Tempered DJ’s nearly 2 years ago. Their production style ranges from Electronica/New Rave to Techno with some Tech house and Electro in-between all crafted with a very unique individual sound. They been hitting it hard as of late with productions on their own label Tempered Records as well as labels such as Clean Recordings, Secnd Coming Records, Phat Beat records and in the top flight Jive/Zomba with their remix of Britney Spears “Break the Ice” produced with Jason Nevins causing quite a stir!

Tempered Productions are being accepted, played and charted left right and centre by everyone from John aquaviva - Kitsunes Autokratz - Lissat & Voltaxx all showing interest in different genre areas! Here are some chartings they have received over the past year:

Right then if that’s not enough for you these boys are a different levels when it comes to DJing they have held residences at Sankeys for there first year together and are now proud residents at Manchester’s premier new super club Area51. They have previously played the Saturday nights at Area but are moving to Fridays to big time Leeds outfit FILTH on the 3rd Friday of every month!

If you can see these guys play you will see some seriously technical stuff, combining different genres, working effects, loops, accapellas and some very impressive turntablism to boot it really is spectacular to say the least! They work many styles together and have been compared to the likes of Soulwax, 2manydjs and Streetlife Dj’s but with a tougher music selection!
