The first music-centric netbook
Createdigitalmusic.com has a comprehensive assessment of the first pre-configured netbook for musicians: Indamixx.
Sure it runs Linux instead of OS X or Windows, but for $500 it comes with both Ardour and energyXT DAW software – along with a slew of other production goodies.
If the Indamixx doesn’t rev your engine, here’s an actual Lenovo netbook running Ableton.
Apple’s Top 20 iPhone Music Apps
For some, Linux is a fringe operating system.
For others, the iPhone OS is equally niche in its appeal.
Some even say that Apple’s pocket-sized platform could well be the dawning of a new era in computing… only time will tell.
Until then, Synthtopia has the scoop on 2008’s Top 20 iPhone music apps (according to Apple).
All Fruity, No Loops
We couldn’t resist quoting CDM on this headline, which sums up Image-Line’s response to November’s ‘Faxing Berlin’ brouhaha.
Apparently, FL Studio’s will no longer ship with loops, only presets.
