Tayo and Skool of Thought launch new dubstep label

Fabric resident, Mob Records owner, part time Radio 1 DJ and all time breaks pioneer Tayo has joined forces with Against The Grain label owner, Skool of Thought aka. Lloyd Seymour to launch a new label, ‘Cool and Deadly’ that aims to ‘explore the music that falls into the space between breaks, dubstep dub and garage’.

Cool and Deadly, which originally began as a night at Fabric last year has since expanded to having it’s own tent at the legendary Glade festival, is now onto its third release as the definition within current breakstep music.

Currently being pushed from the likes of Freq Nasty, Buraka Som Sistema, Skream as well as many more, the label will feature the likes of the ultra talented Romanian producer TRG, the legendary Bassbin Twins, Black Canvas as well as solo offerings from Tayo and Lloyd themselves.

Tayo has been bringing many artists within the scene to DJ at Cool and Deadly parties and help explore music, where the remit is, as he describes it as; “where the backbone is dub and the body is bass”.

For those who weren’t at this years Glade festival all you need to know is that Caspa and Rusko with Tayo, Greg Dread and Plastician ‘smashed it’, and brought the Sunday to its very knees.
