Shimmering progressive house is a rarity these days, and 16 Bit Lolitas are one of a few artists still committed to the ethereal and provide it regularly via their excellent label Bits & Pieces.

Here with Ohmna on ‘Take It Or Leave It’, the Lolitas provide a blissful melodic electronic house trip that will keep those with a dark house tooth moving.

The hypnotic late night trance feel of the chords together with a rising, bassbin-shaking bottom end make for a compelling listen.

B side ‘Magestsu’ glitters like giant disco ball from the 1970s prog rock era, with a whittled electric guitar solo hidden beneath layers of environmental atmospherics and rainforest sounds before dropping into a powerful deep house groove. It’s the perfect set opener.
