Say hello to Superior Drummer 2.0, the latest and greatest version of the acclaimed Toontrack software than enables you to play virtual drums with the precision, feel and timbre of a real drumkit.

Superior Drummer 2.0 has been re-developed for optimised use with e-drums with more effective use of sample layers and much improved loading times.

This basically means you can bash rubber pads on your digital kit and trigger Superior Drummer 2.0 with the greatest of ease.


It will include custom MIDI grooves played by Nir Z accessed through the all new customized MIDI engine and arranger EZplayer pro.


Nir Z is the guy who replaced Phil Collins in Genesis, which is a good (or horrific) thing, depending on the guilty pleasures tucked away in your record collection.


It will feature standalone capacity through Toontrack solo.


From premium UK-based software developer Sonalksis, Superior Drummer 2.0 has been fitted with a 5-band EQ, high and low pass filters, compressor, gate and transient designer filters.


The new interface is reminiscent of EZdrummer with its simple handling and layout, giving its user layer upon layer of in-depth features for creating the ultimate drum track.

Another top feature in Superior Drummer 2.0 is its ability to read and combine all dfh Superior and EZdrummer sound libraries.


Through its fresh interface, SP2 is, quite simply, expandable in the vein of Spectrasonics’ much-loved Stylus RMX software and its SAGE Xpanders.


Superior Drummer 2.0 is compatible with all major music production applications.


These include: Ableton Live (no MIDI channel filtering), Acid Pro / Studio, Cubase SX / Nuendo, Cubase SE / SL, Digital Performer, Fruity Loops (no MIDI channel filtering), GarageBand (no multi channel routing or MIDI channel filtering), Logic Pro / Express, Mackie Traktion, Pro Tools HD / LE / MP, Reaper, Samplitude Pro / SE and Sonar PE / SE.
