What better way to usher in a casual Sunday then with The Field?

And what better release than on Kompakt’s annual ‘Pop Ambient’ series — this time in the form of 2008?

The Field, hailing from Stockholm, has had a quick but stunning start in electronic ambience.

At once compositional by nature, yet immediately sun bathing and soothing, The Field’s output quickly explains how it’s ended up on the prestigious Kompakt label and has garnered remix requests from artists such as Andreas Tilliander, Maps and Gui Boratto.

I suppose the only thing better would be to go see one of The Field’s live performances — on a Sunday, of course!
