Suburban Dream Release - Chillout & Bigbeat
6 August, 2009 | 4.16AMHey folks,
For our next release producer Ciaran McCarthy aka Suburban Dream releases his most recent work “Music Box” The release is available now on Beatport exclusively for the next 2 months and all other stores from October. The A side contains a hip hop styled instrumental while the bside contains a reissue of the track originally released as Crowd Control - Been Elected. Originally the bside was to be a track called “We Long to Be”, however this will appear on an EP scheduled for the end of the year! We caught up with Ciaran to ask him about the new release, find out what’s happening with Crowd Control and what on the horizon for Suburban Dream?
Interview.
So, a new release, what have you been up to?
I’m busy as hell these days, I remix for other acts as well as putting out regular trance tracks for Bonzai in Belgium. On top of that I am working with others on some new stuff and building a new studio. A case of more pies than fingers I think....
So what happened to Crowd Control, why the name change?
There was another band, it’s that simple. I was using the name first but life is too short for arguments..... I’m not saying you wont find the odd Crowd Control remix popping up but yeah, Suburban Dream is the current project.
Where do you see your sound going in the next year?
Well I guess I’m on a hip-hop vibe right now, hard to know really. I’m working with Graham “The Mook” Keeley right now. You may remember him from the days of Eukahouse. The sound is a lot more up tempo so it will be interesting to see what happens there. As far as Suburban Dream goes, the next release will be keeping with the hip hop vibe. There is some downtempo in the pipeline but it probably wont surface until the new year.
