Strider’s latest two-tracker ‘Inner City Sumo / The Edge’ is now available from Splank!

Ben Watts aka Strider is one of Breakbeats rising stars having witnessed his remix of Darftphunk & Slackshot’s ‘I Dance U’ come out on Splank!, He has also material lined up with Control Breaks and future collaborations with both The Analogue People and Funkasaurus.

Strider has been tipped as one to watch for the future in a recent Plump DJ’s interview and after listening to these two bangers on Splank! you’ll know why.

“Inner City Sumo” is classic Strider with banging tech-funk beats, an infectious distorted bass hook with clever pads, tight fills, and a well thought out arrangement.

Whilst ‘The Edge’ is a foray into electro house stylings, laced once again with killer riff’s, layers of synth lfo, vocodered darlek noises and extreme trickery in the drop. This one is massive!

Already this has been receiving props from Mason, DJ Icey, Drumattic Twins, Fort Knox Five, Aquasky, Superstyle Deluxe, Soul Of Man, Mat The Alien, Maelstrom, Napt, Nick Thayer. It’s a must have.
