Strictly Rhythm remix contest runners up
Strictly Rhythm remix contest runners up
24 March, 2010 | 3.12AMBy popular demand, we present the runners up in the Strictly Rhythm remix contest.
Back in December, Strictly Rhythm celebrated 20 years of label history by offering fans a chance to remix Armand Van Helden’s ‘Witch Doktor’, a classic slab of darkside house music. Of the 10 finalists—the five most spun entries, and five more picked by Beatport—Strictly Rhythm selected Germany’s Anton Zaslavski, aka Zedd, one of the five finalists with top spins.
Our faithful commenters have been clamoring to hear the rest of the finalists, so here they are: the four remaining most spun entries, and our five editorial picks. Take a listen and see how you think they stack up. And don’t forget to get in on the action with our current remix contest featuring Fatboy Slim’s ‘Weapon of Choice’. April 5 is the deadline for entries, so it’s time to pull out the big guns and get down to business!
