Sticky Finger (Tom Real & The Rogue Element Mix)

Rob Le Pitch [777]

If you want a good remix you call in The Rogue Element [a], if you want a great remix you call in Tom Real & The Rogue Element.

Collectively these guys produce under the moniker, Disco of Doom and together have been responsible for demonically reconstructing some of the biggest hits within the breakbeat realm, including their infamous remix of Noisia’s ‘Gutterpump’ which won best remix at the 2006 Breakspoll.

Expect nothing less but hardcore business from this remix.

Kicking off with a cowbell led intro, the track breaks down into some heavy distorted reversed synths, and a shuffle beat pattern that could be mistakenly borrowed from Baobinga [a] & I.D. [a]’s
‘The Machine’.

The track is interspersed with crazed effects and tweakings, prompting one to suspect that there is a lot of knob twiddling and button pressing going on, violating general sound patterns.

At around three minutes the track breaks down with a half time, dubstep rhythm interlaced with a chilling ‘Exorcist’ key pattern, promptly shuffled back into the heinous breakbeat furore.

This is a monstrous release that complements perfectly the dirty, electro booty breaks sound that Aquasky [a] have been punishing us with on their 777 imprint.

777 this may be, but it sounds more like it should be ‘666’.
