is without doubt one of the greatest American techno producers of our times, and for his latest outing on his own sterling Persona![[a]](http://www.beatportal.com/images/site/misc/wiki_box_a.gif)
imprint, he’s turned the rave dial up a notch.
A distinctly melodic number that’s considerably more straight-up than many of his trickier works, ‘Fernbank 1991’ works a zippy, melodically inclined lead around a powerful, snare-heavy rhythm, while expertly designed reverbs flutter appropriately in the background.
The rest of the tracks on his ‘Concentricity’ LP are just as good.
Check ‘Water Wings’ for a distinctly floaty techno experience, and ‘Vibrating Hands of God’ for its warbling speed garage basslines and spacey chords.
