Steinberg releases Cubase Essential 4.5

Hot on the heels of last month’s Cubase 4.5 update, Steinberg just announced a similar upgrade for its little brother, Cubase Essential.
The downloadable Cubase Essential 4.5 update shares most of the same new features as the full version, just scaled back a bit for the entry-level edition.
Here are some of the highlights:
- Integration with Steinberg’s new Cubase hardware add-ons – the MR816 CSX and MR816 X - as well as their CC121 Advanced Integration Controller.
- Support for Yamaha’s Motif series and USB keyboard controllers.
- Integration with Steinberg’s new universal media management format, VST Sound.
- Compatibility with their growing library of Sequel Content Sets.
