Stealth brings the love (again) and Kinky wakes up

Four years have passed since Stealth first released Carl Kennedy’s ‘The Love You Bring Me’, with the intervening time good for both.

Kennedy is the mastermind behind my favourite record of 2007, the sublime ‘Ride The Storm’.

It’s only fitting, then, that ‘The Love You Bring Me 2008’ returns in time for Miami’s South Beach parties newly updated and remixed.

Eddie Thoneick stamps his own stripped and tough style to this seductive female lip-synced number, while Dom Kane and Nyx & Syrinx tread a deeper and darker path, respectively.

Like Carl Kennedy’s ‘The Love You Bring Me’, another record returning after four years away from the spotlight is Paradise Soul’s meaty ‘Wake Up’ on Kinky Digital.

Kinky Vinyl may be no more, but their newly created Digital imprint lives is highly active.

Mike Monday and Stretch Silvester are Paradise Soul, and over the years, they’ve had a handful of acclaimed dance releases to their respective names under a variety of alter egos including Sucker DJs, Stretch & Vern, Distant Drum Simeon Friend and Autokat.

Now joined by vocalist Stella Attar (the girl that gave the Freaks the ‘Creep’), it’s in Brummie boy Redanka’s hands to add a new contemporary twist, which he does with some style.

Subtle in the extreme, yet hypnotic and driving enough to seduce even the more die-hard of house-heads, transforming this peak time essential across a brace of remixes.
