Spangle Headz - Stars on 320kbps

Spangle Headz - Stars on 320kbps

Like their fellow Scandinavian producer counterparts – Lindström, Prins Thomas [a], Rune Lindbæk and Todd Terje [a] – Spangle Headz dabble in the same glittery waters, but comes packed with a harder, spiked glove rather than tripping on Cosmic noodlings.
“Stars On 320 E.P” - comes wrapped in 4 stellar Disco-Tech’ish stompers, which should see any mirrorball combust and start spinning in triple motion.
In a time where – for want of better… term – Nu-Disco is slowly walking dangerously on the verge of becoming Coffee-Table Music, or going overground Pop (oh look – an Aeroplane!) Spangle Headz provides a good kick up the bollocks on the genre.
“Rock Me”, “L’Amour (Dub)”, “Do I Do (Dub)” and the aforementioned “Round In Circles” all experiment heavily with harder kicks, swirling analogue arpeggios and a structure, which instead of the coffee-table heads straight for the 2 AM floor.

Out Now on Electric Sheep Recordings

Paul Zimmerman (The POP! Stereo) Oh this is brilliant stuff. Spangle Headz seems a totally fitting name because Rock Me is so sunshiny and early 90’s influenced it’s blinding. Awesome stuff that I can’t stop listening to! Do I Do is a bit deeper and darker but just as good. Lamour is like proper old school house that rocks in a 89-90 kind of way. Love that. Round In Circles is like weird twisted rock and roll w/electronics...bizarre stuff. Great single all around then.

Manuel Perez Really Really Good! Will play all tracks.

Daniel Sykes (Viva Music / RTÉ Pulse) Nice tracks Im liking Round in circles the best
