Next week, we make our annual pilgrimage to Barcelona for the Sonar festival and all the associated mayhem.

As usual, the Sonar lineup is stuffed with talent, representing every corner of the electronic music world—from Plastikman and The Chemical Brothers to Joy Orbison and Flying Lotus. But that’s not the half of it; over the years, Sonar week has blossomed into something like a Mediterranean WMC, with DJs and live acts taking over the city’s clubs, bars, boats, rooftops, beaches, and warehouses.

Ovum Recordings, Mobilee Records, Kompakt, Bpitch Control, Cocoon Recordings, Cadenza, Freak N Chic, Plus 8 Records, Moon Harbour Recordings, Desolat, Hyperdub, 20 200 Vision Recordings, Cynosure Recordings, Wagon Repair, Vakant, and Be As One are just a few of the labels throwing parties this week, (for a full list of events, check Resident Advisor’s list here.)

Plus we have our own little shindig, a private party at the Secret Villa featuring Dubfire, Mathew Jonson, Heidi, Jesse Rose, dOP, Marco Resmann and some very special surprise guests. So charge that iPhone and pack your swim trunks, and we’ll see you at Sonar!
