On our plane traveling from Berlin to Barcelona for Sonar 2008 was Philadelphia-based DJ, producer and record label owner Josh Wink.
Josh Wink hasn’t been to Sonar festival for many years since the second edition of the event but this year he’s hosting a party for his record label Ovum Recordings.
“What’s your big track for Sonar 2008?” I asked him, in between air hostesses pushing trolleys.

“It’s the Todd Terry remix of my track ‘Stay Out All Night’ that hasn’t been mastered yet,” he said.
“I know it’s my own track, but it really is the biggest track in my sets at the moment.
“Me and Todd Terry had been talking for a while about getting together to do a Wink and Todd Terry project and I gave him ‘Stay Out All Night’ on CDR at the conference.
“He really liked it so he asked if he could remix it.
“He ended up giving us seven versions, it’s crazy.
“Todd Terry is one of the reasons why I wanted to get into house music, so it’s an honour to be able to work with him.”
The Todd Terry remix isn’t available yet, but the original of ‘Stay Out All Night’ is quality all the same.
