French techno DJ Paul Ritch showcases his techno prowess yet again with the excellent ‘Solarium’ EP on Adam Beyer’s Drumcode.

‘Solarium’ starts off rather laid back and minimal and you’re left wondering if Ritchy boy is getting all soft on you, and then out of nowhere a white noise cannon marks the start of a proper percussive techno thrust. And we’re off!

Adam Beyer is caning flip side ‘Sombrero’ at the moment and even charted it a No.1 in his recent DJ chart.

With its strange children’s playground background noise, dribbly techno beats and a trademark Drumcode off-kilter hit that jumps out of the speakers every few beats, ‘Sombrero’ could well be ruling the darker techno floors for the next couple of months.
