The show SockRockin’ Summer is about dance music for those with short attention spans. As the world is filled with tracks that go for more than 5 minutes, this show is about taking the best of tracks and putting them together. And those radio shows that go on for two hours? That won’t be for those who are impatient. Not knocking on those who enjoy flowing through any swirling techno masterpiece (which I enjoy), but a lot of people today are impatient, waiting for the next groove to appear after 16 bars.

SockRockin’ Summer is essentially a minimix show with about 7-9 songs that are crammed into a ten minute space. It isn’t just about new songs, but mixing new and old songs well.

There’s a healthy mix of house, electro, nu disco and the occasional mainstream remix as well to ensure a variety of electronic music. There are some forays into techno, tech house and dubstep whenever it feels right.

I hope you enjoy all the music selections featured on the show.
