Swedish duo Minilogue recently dropped their debut album ‘Animals’ in June, which was a two-faced approach to electronic music albums - one part was downtempo electronica, the other was dance/clubby stuff.

Here on ‘Snake Charmer’ though, Minilogue are back on the dancefloor with a driving quirky minimal house track on Wagon Repair.

As label boss of Wagon Repair, Konrad Black told Beatportal recently in a video interview that Wagon is all about releasing “weird cool shit”, and ‘Snake Charmer’ is certainly that.

Driving bongo loops and drum rolls make up the beat, whilst swirling FX add atmosphere to the minimal track before the kick drums distort into a breakdown.

And back once again, the drum loop returns this time a little bit more hypnotic than before.

A squelch of 303 here, and a touch of acid there, makes this a handsome dancefloor excursion to the weird side.
