Slam to mix Soma’s Sci-Fi Hi-Fi 5

Volume 5 of Soma’s excellent ‘Sci-Fi Hi-Fi’ mix series will be mixed by label bosses Slam.

The Scottish techno duo had so far opted out of mixing for the series themselves, instead inviting top techno talent like Alex Smoke, Luciano and Funk D’Void to contribute mixes to their label.

“This mix is a tribute to our Return To Mono night at the Sub Club in Glasgow,” said Slam’s Orde Meikle.

“Some of the biggest records from the night are featured. For us it was important that all the tracks were carefully selected, so we haven’t shied away from some older tracks that are big in character and in our DJ sets.”

It sounds like a proper club mix then, and from the looks of the tracklist, it packs a punch too.

With cuts from Plasmik, Prompt, Matthias Tanzmann and Anderson Noise, ‘Sci-Fi Hi-Fi Volume 5’ promises to be kicking.
