Slam ‘Positive Education’: Dance Anthem
27 September, 2007 | 4.00AM- Section: Music News Topics: Dance Anthems
Way back in 1993 Scottish techno duo Slam released this monumental techno track that changed the face of British electronic music forever. ‘Positive Education’ and the equally important B side ‘Intensities in-Ten-Cities’ paved the way for the rise of Slam and still to this day both tracks sound wicked on a loud soundsystem.
We may have digital sequencers and audio effects, Ableton Live and MP3 now, but Slam managed to craft this beauty at a time when the majority of music was still being released on cassette.
In 1995 the track was revisited by none other than Richie Hawtin, Luke Slater and Derrick Carter & Chris Nazuka.
