Shur-i-kan’s trademark blend of musicality with cutting edge electronic production has been turning heads and gaining fans for a number of years now. Fred Everything’s Lazy Days Recordings were quick to snap up ‘Simply Yes’ featuring Alexander East, and give it two mighty remixes from Magik Johnson and another from Fred himself, along with an additional track from Shur-i-kan.

Shur-i-kan (aka Tom Szirtes) has developed into one of the top of the new wave of deep house producers/DJs and can count the likes of Ben Watt, Funk D’ Void, Milton Jackson and Spirit Catcher as fans.

Shur-i-kan and Fred Everything began collaborating when Tom remixed Fred’s song with Lisa Shaw ‘Here I Am’ from his ‘Lost Together’ album on Om. It went straight to #1 on Traxsource. ‘Simply Yes’ contains the legendary and distinctive tones of Alexander East, one of the most well known voices in house music, thanks to countless songs alongside producers including Derrick Carter, Jimpster, Jay Tripwire, Audio Soul Project and Matthew Bandy.

Dick ‘Magik’ Johnson has graced some of the world’s leading house labels including NRK, Underwater and his own Shaboom. Here he provides 2 remixes; one deeper and the ‘Magik Tragik Dub’ darker. Lazy Days label boss Fred Everything round off this mouth-watering package. A key player in the House world for over 12 years, Fred is one of the most respected artists and DJs in the scene with luminaries such as Ben Watt describing him as “one of my favourite deep house producers” and Ralph Lawson as “one of the best house DJs on the planet”.
