Sasha launches record label: Emfire

British house DJ Sasha [a] has launched his own record label as an outlet for his own exclusive productions. emFire [l] is the result of a collaborative effort with his studio friends Charlie May, Duncan Forbes and Barry Jamieson aka COMA, a pseudonym that also is the name of the first release.

“It’s been exciting getting back in the studio again after a hiatus,” said Sasha.

“I am looking forward to using this new imprint as a vehicle to release my own music as well as signing great forward thinking music from other producers.”

Emfire will release digitally and on vinyl and feature a strong continuous graphic theme that will run from release to release.

It is rumoured that a colour-coded graded spectrum will marry to a numeric sequence.

Art collective Insect, known for their recent work with graffiti and urban art specialist Banksy are handling the art direction.

“We want it to be simple, beautiful and collectable, particularly in terms of the vinyl,” commented Sasha.

Three forthcoming Sasha tracks will be released as a limited edition one-sided 12” and will also be available digitally.

The first release will be ‘Coma’ out in October.
