Sascha Funke is part of the Bpitch Control family, and he’s one of the few producers living in the Berlin who is actually a real Berliner.

His style of techno is dark and foreboding, but there’s always a shimmering, ethereal edge to his music that comes through via intricate melodies.

Sascha Funke recently uploaded a DJ set to Beatport ahead of his appearance at Cologne’s C/O Pop Festival, that perfectly encapsulates his special sound.

Included in his chart are tracks Nick Curly, DJ Koze (who is also booked for C/O Pop), Stimming, and Phantom Ghost’s glorious piano-led anthem ‘You Are My Mate’, which is probably one of the sweetest songs we’ve heard all year.
