Ryan Sullivan & Simon Kaind - Wardrobe in the Garage

After many years of live performances together in clubs and at festivals all over Southern Africa, [Simon Kaind] and [Ryan Sullivan] finally spent some time together, collaborating in the studio. The result is Wardrobe in the Garage, a progressive house piece loaded with live keyboard hooks, deep, warm basses and rock solid rhythm. “Thanks to the neighbors for the title” said the duo, “welcome to Jozi” they laughed as they continued to explain how the neighbors in Johannesburg dress in their garage downstairs.

On remix duty is [Chris Stock] and [Glen Topping] with their friendly progressive house version as well [Steve Clarke] from [The Mary Saga] delivering a banging techno mix. Inspired by mature progressive house, the original mix begins with a rock solid beat and slowly grows into an atmospheric, pulsating bass driven, dance floor shaker. Forever evolving, the song develops a beautiful percussive keyboard hook and breaks down into a large break beat groove, creating tension before releasing into main-room glory. Hook after hook, the track holds you tight until it slowly winds down.

Chris Stock and Glen Topping’s remix wastes no time, introducing the main hook from the start. Massive drum fills introduce an epic break beat which gently evolves into a house groove with a solid bass line which will no doubt get dance floors moving. Using all the elements from the original yet still adding a completely different flavor, Chris and Glen have hit the nail on the head.

A banging techno mix from Steve Clarke rounds the release off nicely, adding a harder edge to an already solid package. The rolling grooves, clever use of the original elements and even some added vocals are sure to hold interest. Atmospheric breakdowns accompanied by thundering techno grooves ensure Steve Clarkes mix will pound in the clubs.
