Robytek return on Rebirth with the minimal cosmic Afro funk of ‘Luna Africana’.

Like the bastard child of Tiga, DFA, Headman and Chicken Lips all rolled into one, it really could be classified as unadulterated oddball crystalline electronica, not least when African tribal chants give this a truly global feel.

As with ‘Sun’, their previous single, this is similarly winning fans across the board, with plays already on the Essential Selection (for Tiefschwarz, Josh Wink, Rainer Trueby and Laurent Garnier.

It’s clear to hear why on this highly effective single that’s deep at times, techy at others, abstract in the main, yet made with a maturity that reassures the next generation of producers that Robytek are man enough for the challenge.
