Rob Da Bank to compile ‘Sci-Fi Lo-Fi Vol.3’

Rob Da Bank has been chosen to compile the latest in the ‘Sci-Fi Lo-Fi’ series on Soma Recordings.

A spin-off from the popular ‘Sci-Fi Hi-Fi’ mixes, the series gives the artist free rein over track selection, with dance cuts comfortably rubbing shoulders with dub and indie tracks.

Da Bank’s effort continues in the same eclectic vein as previous releases by Andrew Weatherall and most recently Damian Lazarus.

The compilation features a disparate selection of cuts and personal choice tracks, with music from artists including Dinosaur Jr. Boards Of Canada, Spiritualized and Jesus & Mary Chain, whose ‘Just Like Honey’ opens proceedings.

Uniquely, the physical release of the album will include extensive sleeve notes penned by Editorial Director of NME and Uncut, Steve Sutherland.
