When a single’s remix package reads like a who’s who of the dance world, you should sit up and take note.

Mark Knight, Steve Angello, Sebastian Ingrosso, Funkagenda, Stonebridge, Superchumbo, Buzz Junkies and Robbie Rivera.

They’re all lined up on Rivera’s “new” 3Beat Blue single ‘One Eye Shut’ featuring the ethereal vocals of Laura Vane.

The singer too is no stranger to the spotlight having featured in recent times on club hits for Chris Lake (‘Changes’), MJ Cole (‘Water Tight’) and Dave Spoon (‘Won’t Do It Again’), as well as working with The Streets and Gnarls Barkley live.

As to ‘One Eye Shut’, it’s another big room banger from house producer (in the best tradition of ‘Bang’ and ‘Right Here’).

And if you think the song sounds familiar you’d be right.

It was originally releases three years ago on the Miami’s house don’s vocal house imprint 24Seven, but like all things, if at first you don’t succeed…

Perhaps his most widely accessible release since ‘Bang’, Vane’s stark delivery sits well against the assorted backdrops, with the Scandinavian pairing of Angello & Ingrosso with Robbie’s now trademark energy and burbling synths, particularly suiting the track’s big-room energy best.
