Richie Hawtin & Carl Cox For Belfast Easter Monday
26 February, 2009 | 5.49PMNorthern Ireland clubbers will be bunny hopping all the way way to the rave on Easter Monday April 13th with news just announced that two of the world’s finest DJ’s will be performing at different venues in the city only 200yds apart!
The legendary Ulster Hall welcomes the long-overdue return of ((Richie Hawtin)) to it’s recently renovated venue which will be one of the first techno nights at the venue since the mid 1990’s. Hawtin will perform alongside ((Matthew Dear)) and ((Phil Kieran)) in what’s being billed as the biggest dance event of the year so far in Northern Ireland.
Meanwhile, 200 yards up the street ((Carl Cox)) will perform to a capacity crowd in the rather intimate confines of The Stiff Kitten alongside Timmy Stewart from ((The Jet Project)) and ((Psycatron)). This will be Carl’s second time playing the venue having previously appeared back in Summer 2007.
So, Hawtin or Cox? It’ll be a tough call to make, but one which will sure as hell make for one the best Easter Mondays in Northern Ireland since rave began
