Ricardo Villalobos classic & Fabric album

Ricardo Villalobos classic & Fabric album

Ricardo Villalobos’ 1999 deep house classic ‘808 The Bassqueen’ has been re-released this week, ahead of his Fabric 36 mix album due out in September on Fabric’s in-club record label.

The slow-burning blissful house number appears on Plastic City’s new release ‘Terry’s Cafe 10 Classics Edition’ (check it out below), which resurrects some old underground techno classics, including Mr. Fingers ‘Can You Feel It’.

The London-based Fabric club has always enjoyed a healthy relationship with Ricardo Villalobos [a], who has been a resident at the venue since February 2004.

No details have been released yet about Villalobos’ upcoming album although Fabric have released the artwork for it (above).

One would expect there to be some news about the LP on RicardoVillalobos.com, but the website is password-protected in typical exclusive Villalobos secret-minimal-handshake style.
