Crosspoint is a up and coming Japanse label headed by Japanese DJ/producer, Juzu a.k.a. Moochy, one of the leading DJ/ producers in the Japanese club music scene right now.
Crosspoint is without a doubt, one of the top quality labels to come out of Japan recently, with their very homegrown oriented, Japanese, blend of electronic music, world music, house, chill out, organic rhythms & styles.
Crosspoint has just released digitally, the remix of Juzu aka Moochy’s track, Lugar Percioso by none other than Joe Claussell of Body & Soul, Spiritual Life/ Sacred Rhythm fame.
This remix was originally released only on vinyl through Mr. Claussell’s very own Sacred Rhythm label last year.
It will be the first time, these versions are going to be released digitally.
Juzu aka Moochy’s track, Lugar Precioso, the Forest Version is an alternative version, similar to Drum De Fuego/Kuluumbe Forest on the vinyl release and subsequently included in last year’s, Defected mix CD, Louie Vega’s, Louie Vega… In The House. This is a very special, spacey, afro-percussive, afro chant-filled house track that takes you out into a journey thru the outer reaches of Africa.
The other version, Lugarpella is an unreleased beatless mix, reminicient of Joe Claussell’s classic, Ten City’s, All Loved Out (Love Drum) out on Ibadan. An elegant, beatless piano love jam, so beautiful.
It is the first time worldwide that Crosspoint’s music only availible in Japan and availible digitally worldwide.
The recent album, Re-Momentos “Introduction” which features original tracks by Juzu a.k.a. Moochy with remixes by Joe Claussell and Panoptikum only released in Japan, was also earlier released digitally on beatport as well.
Juzu a.k.a. Moochy will also be releasing his follow-up album, Re:momentos〜"MEMORIES (released in Japan thru cisco/ soundscape) soon with some singles from the album to released as well. Check out some of the new tracks at his myspace page, listed below.
