Get ready for broken bones and ruptured cartilage – that is, that’s what you’d now have to be doing if the sounds inside ‘Real Talk’ could manifest as physical objects.
The drums would be clubs laced with broken glass; the bass, waves of hot lava – and as for the sound effects?
Dentist drills – all aimed at your face.
This isn’t the sort of song to listen to at home whilst you do your knitting.
Hell no. This is the kind of shit that you want when you’re blurring the edges of consciousness, flailing in a sea of arms and legs inside London’s most heaving raves.
Not for the faint hearted, check out ‘Real Talk’ if you like your drum & bass nasty and foul.
And if you thought you were in for a breather on ‘Timeline’, then think again.
This uncompromising monster of a creation grabs your head and then smashes it against the proverbial hand railing for most of its duration.
Spliced with soothing Detroit pads, the contrast within ‘Timeline’ is powerful.
