Ralph Falcon follows up ‘Dark Beat’ with ‘The Dig’
14 March, 2008 | 10.32AM- Section: Music News Topics: House Nation
A few years back Oscar G and Ralph Falcon released a single called ‘Dark Beat’.
As the name implied, it was dark and in parts boarded on the progressive and twisted sub-genres of house, but it was the chant: “I am addicted to drums and a slave to the dark beat” that immediately comes to mind when listening to Ralph Falcon’s latest solo production ‘The Dig’.
The Nervous Records release is more of the same — dark, rough, sweaty house at is most minimal and satisfying; not least thanks to an epic (does he ever do anything less?) Radio Slave mix that goes on and on and on until you’re finally emerged in an near euphoric state of mind.
With the Winter Music Conference just around the corner, the Murk men from Miami are once more set for the spotlight, and it will continue into April with Nervous also releasing Oscar G’s first-ever artist album titled ‘Innov8’.
But more on that to follow.
