A man of many monikers, Rekids label boss Matt Edwards uses his Radio Slave outlet for an unique mixture of UK Acid House and Teutonic Techno, while as Rekid showcases his deeper, more underground sounding tunes and released a superb album on London’s Soul Jazz Records. Having remixed and worked with a list of stars that could make the most avid autograph hunter turn green like incredible hulk with envy, Matt Edwards can pull out styles from dubby electronic Disco, to Dilla-esque dope beats, and the abstract house runnings of Theo Parrish. Together with Joel Martin he’s also the mastermind behind the infamous Quiet Village Project recording balearic soundscapes and film scores for music never made. 23rd Century dance music is here.
