Resident Advisor continues its Real Scenes series with a visit to the birthplace of techno: Detroit.

Featuring interviews with Brendan Gillen (Ectomorph), Rick Wilhite, Jon Dixon (Underground Resistance), Josh Glazer (URB Magazine), Luke Hess, Kyle Hall, Mike Huckaby, and others, the 19-minute documentary goes beyond the usual Motor City cliches, exploring not only Detroit’s urban blight but also efforts to bring younger generations into the music; the footage, meanwhile, is flat-out gorgeous.
