The German electro house master known as Swen Weber drops a remix of GTO ‘Pure’, and hauls Plato along for added fun and another relick.

Swen’s ‘Pure’ remix is a breath of fresh air amongst many of this month’s overcrowded arrangements.

This guy doesn’t try to hard to impress – that’s his key – and as such he manages to impress a great deal more.

Where many electro house tracks get progressively more mental, the thermal buzz of ‘Pure’ remix starts to dismantle as time ticks away, but this really adds to overall feeling.

Through stuttering, staccato female vocals, suddenly a beautiful filtered flute emerges and the melody switches up.

Plato’s remix is a complete inversion of his buddy Swen’s.

It’s a stinking, dirty fucker, with a whole bunch of old skool Roland drums thrown in on top of some winding, pitch-bent instruments.

Again, minimalism is the order of the day on this single, which means that you can hear every one of its elements loud and clear — not only when the tune drops, but in the mix too.
