continues to forge his own path in 2011, unconcerned and unaffected by the short-lived trends that flash through clubland.
Fresh off his new remixes for Depeche Mode, Prydz returns as Pryda with a new EP, “Mirage.” The title cut is Prydz at his best: melodic, ethereal, and uplifting, with a powerful (yet delicate) lead that immediately works its way into your mind and feet. It’s euphoric and poignant all at the same time—a contrast that might seem strange for dance music, but we wouldn’t expect any less from Pryda’s dark instrumentals.
Keep reading to check out “Juletider” and “With Me,” the two strong cuts—they’d be A-sides in any other artist’s discography—that round out the EP.
