Jeff Bennet In 1975 Jeff was produced by his parents in Warsaw Poland, but moved to Sweden in 1981 and lives since then in Malmoe Sweden. Jeff who was formerly called Mike Pung has been involved in electronic music since 1992 but it all began as a bedroom thing that has since then evolved into a habit. He started creating music in 1994 and got hooked on it directly, but it took until 1998 before his first single was to come out on his own label Maskros Music. Since that single he has released over 50 singles on labels like Poker flat, Episode, Treibstoff, Intrinsic design, Konvex Konkav, Jamayka, Morris audio, regular etc. The first album by Jeff Bennett was released in the beginning of the summer 2003 on Episode. The next one is due for release during 2006.
In 1994 he and a partner opened a record store called Cosmic One Records that became the first electronic record store in Malmoe. With the opening of the record store the DJ career got a boost and he started playing on various venues. year after the store was opened Jeff & his record store partner Jim Groovy started making heir own one-off parties and clubs in various sizes. His longest residency was in a house club alled Thank God It’s Friday were he played almost every Friday for over a year. He hasplayed at clubs & parties like: Fabric (London), Otto zutz (The edge, Barcelona), Fusion Festival 2002 (Germany), Ostgut (Berlin), Terry’s cafe (Frankfurt), PolarTV (Berlin), Barracca (Spain), The Loft (Spain) + many more.....In 1996 Jeff & Jim started their first label Azurite records. Jeff started his own label MaskrosMusic in 1998. And the year 2000 two new labels called Phunctional & Kung fu dub we’re started by Jeff. The only label that is still alive from that era is Kung Fu dub, which hasrecently been frozen up from its 3year sleep with some nice upcoming releases and remixes. After moving on from the record store Jeff decided to move to Oslo/Norway for new inspirations. After 6months of Norway the path towards Malmoe/Sweden was once again the choice and this is the base of Jeff’s whereabouts until further. The earliest influences came from Detroit people like Derrick May, Juan Atkins & Kevin Saunderson, but also from Richie Hawtin’s label Plus 8 and the artist there like Speedy J, Kenny Larkin etc. Europe also had a big impact on him with artists like Stefan Roberts, 808 state, KLF, dreadzone, Terry lee brown Junior, Tikiman & labels like Plastic city, Poker Flat, SVEK, Circulation, early Network releases + many more.Also a lot of reggae & dub artist like Augustus Pablo, Lee Perry, Mad Professor, Andy Horace, King Tubby, Barrington levy + many more.
Presslaboys Presslaboys are Luigi Gori & Omar J Neri. They live in Arezzo, here because they have a study immersed in green and quietness, essential requirement to compose music; even if geographically they are far away from the large musical business centres. In1996 instead, while they were in his basement during a storm, the study got flooded and they looked like homeless people holding all them instruments. Here born Presslab Records & two Years later Presslaboys Team, after various names used before.
Their sounds followed a path determined by the blending of their different experiences as DJs: Luigi with electro 80’, Acid House hints, old school beats, progressive & first house music, Omar, instead, more techno Detroit, First German Minimal Techno and 90’ Progressive Sound, in the past they were strongly attracted by the Eighties dark sound, in all its expressions: Cure, Depeche mode, Bauhaus, 4AD Artists, Kraftwerk, Einesturzende de Nuebaten, a real passion for committed music. All of this of course within those musical expressions that characterised all last decade trail: dance, dub, trip hop and electronics in general. In addition to their passion for music they care also of anything around it; they like minimal design, Bauhaus style, and any graphic art that looks forward. Other things that influenced them came from life events they have experienced and the need to express them and express theirselves at the same time. After important releases in famous Labels as Crosstownrebels, SAW Recordings Baroque Records, and remixes as important Artists they decide to compose their first Album, bring the same name of their most representative productions and sum their concept of music style “Electric Generation”. “The Presslaboys Style” recognized by the most illustrious Djs of the world, is ever composed with a electronic component, also when the electro not was so famous, infact many old releases are actually today and good for the actual music market. Never too much minimal always consistent in their roots, Presslaboys bring from this period important signals and sounds, and try to mix with more varieties of vocal expressions and style.
Sin Tek Anis Hachemi , 24 years old, started his carreer in musical production at the age of 17. After many years learning the basics he finally got hired as a studio technician at a local studio facility in Tunis , Tunisia.With the support of few true friends he started to get his hands dirty doing remixes, which later brought him to the attention of Luigi Gori. One half of the pressla boys duo from Italy and the guys behind the Presslab records. This Marks the true entry of Anis Hachemi a.k.a SINTEK into the world of electronic music.

Paolo Driver Paolo Driver is an Italian Dj and producer amongst the most admired in the European musical dance scene. Born and artistically bread with Djs such as Farfa, Miki and Roby J, in ‘94 he became part of the evolutionary wave of electronical music. His career as a Dj starts in various clubs in Liguria and Tuscany and progresses in France where he becomes acclaimed and recognized for his innovative and captivating sound, combined with the all engaging Italian energy. It’s here that Paolo meets Dj Sonic with whom he collaborates in ‘95 and ‘96 in his first productions with one of the first French labels for House Music, Omnisonus Paris, in a project named “Culture Progress”: a fusion of Djs with the same ideas and philosophy of sound. At the same time, going against the commercial parameters of the time, (96-98) Paolo and Roby J, begin to experiment new sounds and rhythmic through Trip Hop in the underground clubs characteristics of the historic side of their home town Genoa. From here on it’s a succession of appearances in clubs and “after hours” in which, thanks to the influence of Trip Hop, they are recognized and distinguished by a public attracted by the refined sounds and the slow rhythms used to create a relaxed and laborious effect. The search for sounds has always been one of the fundamental characteristics that have accompanied Paolo’s artistic path, often based on the recovering of low-fi and base retro-ethnic sounds, often also with the aid of instruments.It’s at this stage that Paolo begins to collaborate with musicians with whom he presents live performances such as “Forte Sperone” and other musical and cultural festivals of high artistic level. In the new millennium Paolo commences working in a studio towards different projects such as:  Exelentrite, Aye Onu, B.I.D, Driver and Bof, in collaboration with Presslab Records, Jam Block Records, Loud Beat, No Label and First Pop Records.In 2002, Paolo’s matures as an artist and together with Alberto Bof, known pianist in the European jazz scene, they experiment new progressive house rhythms, Jazz funk sounds able to distinguish them in the music scene for its “Funky” electric and harmonic sounds. These sounds will be later successfully presented live in various gatherings (Goa Boa, Capodanno 2002 Genoa Location Cava dei Ghiffi, Utopia Genoa, Rock Clubs Paris, La Soleei Marseille, Pacha Montpellier).In 2004, together with Francesco Di Fiore, Paolo forms the Dam Flower Production and at the same time he enjoys getting re-acquainted with the live Dj set putting forward his sounds and his rhythmic through the vibrations that accompany the dance floor. Paolo is loved by the public, who has followed him now for many years, because he is always able to convey unique emotions that stay.In the new 2005 season he begins as a “resident” at the Nuhar Club, a unique club in Genoa with an innovative style, where Paolo is able to once again express his sound skills and make a difference, captivating the Genoese dance scene at international level, with great enthusiasm from the public.  In the Summer of 2006 he takes his success to Swing, a club located on a splendid cliff overlooking the sea, where together with the same Djs from Nuhar, Dj Mocce and Dj Dende, they host Electro Funk Fridays and Deep Electronic House Saturdays.
Maurizio Ruggiero & Danyelino Maurizio Ruggiero and Daniele Campagna are a DJ-Producer duo, both born in Italy and currently living in Miami USA. Danyelino comes from the northern city of Genoa while Maurizio is from the southern city of Napoli. They met in Miami in 1996 and became friends sharing the same passion for electronic music and clubbing. Maurizio was freelancing in the local club scene, while Danyelino was traveling back and fort from Italy. Only when in 2005 the Genoan moved definitely to Miami they decided to join forces together, first by sharing the decks and then in the recording studio. The fusion of their talents resulted in an innovative and powerful combination of sonorities which ranges from warm minimal flavors to more driving techno-oriented grooves. Maurizio and Danyelino legacy promises a sure impact in the underground club scene and is committed to shake the most exigent dance floors around the world. Their first remix production is DUBFIRE – ROADKILL Released in July 2007 on SCI-TEC and ELECTRONIC ELEMENTS (ARMADA) Records. Coming soon in November will be their first single LEADER/DEALER on Sleaze Records.
Presslaboys (Read up PS050 Review)
Slad Slad, aka soundlikeadog is an italian electronic music producer, born in Genoa, in the year 1977. He began making electronic music in the 90’s. From a very young age he has been a big fan of experimental and noisy sounds. When Christian was around 14 he started to play bass and drums.Though he loved music, he could never see himself as a musician, dj or composer.He developed the concept of including any and all sounds into the musical vocabulary. At first he concentrated on working with sounds other than those produced by traditional musical instruments, removing them from their original context. Later on, he found it was possible to remove the familiarity of musical instrument sounds and abstract them further by various techniques. In 1999 he started that first independent netlabel in Genoa for his own enjoyment, the “santopalatomusicresearch”. Christian takes much of his inspiration from every musical genres, from easy ambient to erosive grind-core. Beyond using the usual tecniques (he starts to perform his first electronic works with synths and sequencers likeroland MC505 and mc909 samplers later), he use different experimental compositing techniques, like microsampling and real-time sinthesys. He also take inspirations and ideas from early futuristic experimentation and Musique concrète, and abstract them into electrical/musical compositions. After 2003, he create different new musical platform/interfaces such as “Wax”, and strange musical interfaces for intensive real-time audio-visual experience (“15 stones”, “AVStorm”, “re-inventing the wheel”, “don’t touch the air”).

Felipe Ochoa Diaz a.k.a D.ochoa / Audiobeats / Jhon Doe begins to be interested in the electronic music to the early age of 16 year-old by his partner Jose Manuel Estrada (DJ Jose M). He played violin from 1989-1993 and percussion 1993-1997. The diversity of his music create an atmosphere full of armony which shows his sensibility towards music, his talent took him to be one of the most important DJ in Panama city where he became the resident DJ of DEEP ROOM two times in of 2006.Once he came back to Colombia he got hired for one of the most important night club in the country THE CLUB LOBBY. Cristiano Vinci started his career ad a DJ in many clubs in central Sardinia at the age of 16. After a few years he decided to follow his musical creativity and inspiration by getting into computer music and producing his first tunes. His passion for vintage sounds and old synthesizers of the 80’s helped him to define his personal style. 2005 is an important year for his musical career. Finally he begins to use the famous Roland synth Juno 106 in almost any track produced in his home studio, the YellowLab: his alter ego Superjuno was born. The first release as Superjuno was in June 2005 with Rock Da Bass, on the label of Mr.Planet Funk Alex Neri, the Italian Tenax Recordings. Second release is Groovy Beat/I Want my Money Back with is friend Prudo, on the german Dirt Crew label. In 2006 started a new project with is friend Massimo Licari and decided to go out with a new tune, Vision, this time using his own name. Vision is a funky electro track that will be an authentic floor killer in every club you’ll play it. And it’s the very first release of Presslab Electro.
