KarateKlub has become increasingly essential of late, with tracks from label boss Oscar and emerging dancefloor talents like Blood & Tears, Kolombo and Heinrichs & Hirtenfeller combining strange, narcotic sounds with upfront dancefloor beats.

Here, newcomer Jenn makes her debut with two basic but spooky cuts of grimy basement minimal.

They’re both pretty good, but maybe a little limited; there are only so many clunks and whirrs you can take in a single DJ set, and with so many tracks doing the same thing in a better way kicking about, it’s unlikely these will get much attention.

Indeed, most will be checking this for the Simon Baker remix, who despite popping up all over the place at the moment, is managing to keep the quality high without breaking a sweat.

The pedigree remains on this occasion, too, with a spangly, warming pad lead offering oomph and angular prettiness in equal measure.

Meanwhile, his hi-res, richly rendered grooves are as taut and graceful as we’ve come to expect, making this another successful addition to the hotly-tipped producer’s canon.
